Solution 1. Wipe out the content of the Entitlement client folder
We can delete the data of the entitlement client folder manually as well as automatically. Follow the steps given below accordingly:

Automatic,
1. Foremost, download the Clear Entitlement File tool.
2. Now, unzip the file to your desktop.
3. Run the file by double-clicking on it.
4. Open QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale and start the registration process again.

Manual,

  1. Open the Windows Explorer by tapping the Windows and E keys together.
  2. Move to C:\Program Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.
  3. Select all the files in the folder and press Delete.
  4. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
  5. Restart QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale and complete the registration process.

Solution 2. Change the name of the WSActivity file

  1. Open Windows Explorer.
  2. Go to C:\Program Data\Intuit\QuickBooks Point of Sale XX\Ini.

Solution 3. Performing clean install of QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale
A clean install can sometimes resolve the issue if the issue arises while installing or running the software. Given below are the steps to uninstall and reinstall QuickBooks Point of Sale:

(Note: Before following the steps to clean install QuickBooks POS, create a backup of the data file.)

 Uninstall QuickBooks POS:

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Choose Programs and Features.
3. Further, from the list of applications, choose QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 18.0.
4. Click Uninstall/Change.
5. Perform the prompt instructions to complete the process.

Next, you need to rename all Point of Sale folders if you’re uninstalling QuickBooks POS from the server computer:

1. At first, copy the Point of Sale data folder.
2. Paste the folder on your desktop.
3. Change the folder’s name by adding ‘OLD’ at the end of the folder name.
4. Now, QuickBooks can’t recognize the folder, and the user can create a new one.

Delete the QBPOSDBSrvUser account:

1. Click on Window’s Start and open Control Panel.
2. Choose User Accounts and later Manage another account.
3. Within the User Account Control window, click Continue.
4. Click on QBPOSDBSrvUser and then Delete the account option.
5. Once the folder is deleted, restart the system.
 At last, reinstall the QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.
